Laziness is not from God

Whatever is not the fruit of the spirit is not from God. Ps Joseph advised me that this is a quick way to discern whether whatever we are feeling is from God or not.

Last night I blogged about feeling lazy to pick up pace during my exercise. As I laid in bed, I realised laziness is not from God. Self control is. If I had more self control I would do what is best for my body. Thanks so much for praying for me and helping me realise this. So, I got up this morning with zest and jogged slowly for two small rounds within my neighbourhood. Thank you Lord for oxygen! Thank you Lord for strength to run!

I am just praying the endophins will kick in more so that I would feel motivated again for tomorrow's exercise. :)

Wow! I Know the Rhema that Really Burns

Isaac told me that I need to find my rhema because that is what I will cling to when trials hit me and I need only hold on to this rhema and God will pull me out from the pit.

As I was driving home tonight, I was speaking life to myself. I was commanding my lungs, brains and diaphragm to work together in Jesus' name. Sometimes, I feel breathless. I have this trouble quite some time now. It has no power no dominion over me but just that I wish more oxygen would go into my body! I know I need to step up my exercise and yet I know I can't go too hard because I wasn't feeling too strong since I lost a bit of weight earlier. But now, I do feel stronger and I've been trying to step up my pace during exercise but I am feeling lazy. Do pray for me for more motivation to exercise at a faster pace. If I do a slow jog it will cause me to pant for more oxygen so it would definitely help. So anyway, I was commanding my brain to tell my diaphragm to breath correctly i.e. use the diaphragm and not my chest to breathe (for my deep breathing exercise). Then, I commanded my lungs to receive the oxygen to kill all remaining malignant cells in Jesus' name.

Suddenly, I started speaking out the verse of 2 Timothy 1:7:

For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.

The more I said it, I started to cry. Then, I remembered He commanded me not to anxious about anything so I cried out to God "Lord, you said not to be anxious about anything so I cry out to you Father God, give me more oxygen!".

Philipians 4:6
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Then, my spirit was lifted and my fears went away. And I thanked Him. Then, I remembered what Isaac said about rhema. I realised that I even penned it down in my lyrics on Saturday, not knowing that that's my rhema! For when I say it, I can feel God pulling me out from the pit! Praise the Lord! I am so happy! I finally understand. Rhema is a word given from God, that burns in our hearts, that means so much to us to the point it can save us from the fiery darts of the evil one in hard times. Thank you Lord for your revelation to me. Thank you Lord for your rhema for me. Thank you Lord for everything. I pray tonight that Aunty Beverly finds her rhema from God. She needs it so much now. Please also pray to rebuke the cancer cells and cast it out from her body. Speak life to Aunty Beverly. Pray for the blood of Jesus to cover her and flow through her to restore her completely. On the cross, Jesus died for our sins and bore our sickness. By His wounds we have been healed.

This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: "He took up our infirmities and carried our diseases."

1 Peter 2:24
He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.

We are all children of God because we believe what Jesus did for us on that cross to make us righteous again before God. In Jesus lies the answer to every human need. So, WE can claim healing for Aunty Beverly through our faith in Jesus. There is power in Jesus' name! Pray for the blood of Jesus to cover her whole household against the lies from the evil one.

Minestrone Soup Recipe

My mum prepared this soup for me today and I was pleasantly surprised that I did not have to put liquid amino (Braggs) to add flavour. It's so sweet and tasty! The word "minestrone soup" came to my mind. So have a try and let me know if it works for you.

Minestrone Soup Recipe (serves 2)

1/2 cup soup mix (comprising of various beans from organic shop - high in protein)
2 small carrots (diced)
1 big onion (diced)
8 dates (for extra sweetness and to replace meat)
2 slices pumpkin (so it does not break up)
1 stalk celery (diced)
1 tomato
1 litre water

My mum said the trick is to stir fry the onions till transluscent in a bit of WATER (since I'm not taking oil) and add carrots and stir fry a while too. Then only add everything else. Once boiling, to simmer for quite sometime until the all the flavour comes out.

I served the soup with quinoa cooked separately in a rice cooker.

Wow! I don't think I've ever written a song before! I was lying down with Ethan by my side and practicing my deep breathing and thinking about God and what He has in store for me. I asked God for a name for a ministry that Uncle Allen has in mind for those suffering from cancer which I think will be a very powerful ministry to make people realise that God heals. Suddenly, the lyrics filled my mind and I had to grab some paper downstairs. Poor baby Ethan woke up - now watching TV!

Nutrition - God's way

Thanks Aunty Judy. Thanks for driving all the way to my home to deliver my nutrition pills. Aunty Judy helps supply E Excel products to me which are well researched by a Taiwanese doctor, Dr Chen. Dr Chen's ambition was to be a famous scientist. She was a snooty young lady upon graduation mostly because she was so brilliant she did not have to put much effort in her exams. Interestingly, her heart changed when she saw a 30 year old woman suffering from cancer making voice recordings for her 3 toddlers (that wasn't the first patient). Dr Chen's life completely changed after that. She wanted to find a cure for cancer. Scientists have budgets to do research but their drugs are mostly chemical. When she found out that a plain little soya bean can have such great reaction to a cancer cell she started researching further but no one wanted to sponsor her. So she formed a research company to carry out research for other companies and used the profits for her own immunology research. That was a long time ago. She has no secrets. Anyone is welcomed to do better. Her only goal is to find a cure and for cancer prevention.

It is heartening to know that God our maker gives us natural plant to build our immunity and in a way, Dr Chen has found a way to bring the potency of these natural plant to our homes as it is impossible to consume so much daily. When God created the world, He said in Genesis 11,29:

11 Then God said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds." And it was so.

29 Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.

Interestingly, in my situation, I had to turn back to what He originally provided to us in Genesis (what we call "vegetarian" these days). Siew Mei mentioned that in the end times, when food get so processed and meat get so tainted, at least we can still go back to the "Genesis produce" to heal us.

That's why for the time being I've left out meat from my diet. No pork, no chicken, no fish. Maybe later. My current diet also does not contain sugar, salt, oil, milk or eggs. All so to starve the cancer cells. My creative mum (she says it is inspired by the Holy Spirit) comes up with fruit juices and warm meals from vegetables, grains and nuts. Thanks Daffy for the juicer and thanks TRYGOS for the blender.

Collectively, it costs a bomb! Thousands and thousands of ringgit! But with showers of blessings from my mum, aunties and friends and insurance, so far, all has been provided for. Believe it or not, the insurance money only kicked in last week! But I am very thankful for God's hand upon my life and my family even down to logistics, kids being taken care of, ability to rest, exercise and read the bible. Thank you Lord for everything! Indeed I lift my eyes towards the mountains and He is my Helper! The maker of heaven and earth! Praise the Lord!

We are victorious as Christians and many of us have not taken the journey to experience this victory! We walk on victory ground as King Wai always says. We are "in" His GRACE.
