Ubud is still the best place to be for me. You can get most of the stuff here at a warehouse outlet say in "Kampoeng Bali" near Kuta for much cheaper but it's moving around to look at all the quaint shops that make it so special to be here.

I love these pinocchio wood carvings.
There's influence from aboriginal art from Australia. They even have similar paintings but they are expressed in "very controlled movements".
