My deepest fears for the Appreciation Assembly for Robert Lam last Sunday came true. I heard the people were not praying in agreement, some prayed for healing, some felt he was dying, some spoke as if he was dead already. It was awful. I didn’t go as I didn’t want it to dampen my spirit. I did ask Robert to use this platform instead to claim God’s assurance to him that he will live another 10 years. However, I know I can only share so much as I have learned today (see my blog Cycling with Henry ) that all have their personal walk with God.
It is my prayer for Robert Lam that in his walk with God he will have no doubts that God can heal. It is my prayer for my church that although they believe that tongues is a gift from God that they would still find room in their hearts to desire for it for that is our communion with God when we have no words to pray for people suffering from cancer. I pray for the Holy Spirit to touch everyone in my church that they will allow the Holy Spirit to guide them to all understanding that it is God’s will to heal as how He healed me. Only then can we pray in agreement, in one voice for the healing of Robert Lam and to encourage his spirit likewise too.
I pray you will seek to ask “How do I know it is God’s will to heal”. If you are seeking, here is a website as a start for your discovery. Immerse in God’s words and ask for the holy spirit to guide you accordingly.
