I felt a gush of cold wind go through my body. I thought it was the holy spirit but it was something else... I turned to my left and saw my sister sleeping next to me. I observed her dressing (I have not slept with my sis for soooo long!). Suddenly I heard moving glass sound. Then I heard it again and saw the window pane moving. There was a thief outside the house on the emergency lane. He ran away and I tried screaming but no voice came out. I took something to knock the outside wall to alert others. He stopped and pretended nothing is wrong. Then, he ran back towards me and smiled deviously at me. At that point I was so scared I woke up. It was a dream. I started to pray for protection for my sister and her family, my dad, my mum, my mum in law, Adrian, Sook Yian, my family and started claiming Psalm 91.
I was reading the bible, claiming protection from God and smelt foul smell. Henry stirred and asked him whether he farted and he said no. Later, he said he could not remember me asking him!
In the morning, Chiew Hwa smsed Henry to check if I was ok because she woke up twice and thought of me and she prayed for me in the morning. Then, I remembered 2 things from God's word: God commanded us not to be anxious about anything but to pray (Phillipians 4:6). He also did not give us a spirit of fear but a spirit of love, power and self control (2 Timothy 1:7). Then I realised it must be the devil. Worse still, it is a dream of a thief and it seemed so real. The devil comes like a thief in the night to steal, kill and destroy. It wanted to instill fear and steal my faith away. Anyway, I did warn my sister to claim Ps 91 and not to be fearful (2 Timothy 1:7).
Later, Elaine told me that Ps Lydia did mention to her that the devil's presence is foul smelling, unlike angels, like sweet fragrance. The spiritual realm is so real. We must really put on the armor of God and stand firm!

Ya, that's what I learnt from Pastor Lydia that spirits have smell. She said even the spirit of death has a smell but one has to be discerning enough to know the difference.
ReplyDeleteI have smelt the presence of God or angels twice before and it's a really beautiful fragrance, better than any perfume in the world :) Also, Chor Hon and Prathab could smell the fragrance along with me in the hospital on the night before Michael passed away.
I'm not sure if I have experienced the foul smell of demons and the evil one before. My family farts a lot (esp Brian) so don't know loh what smell is what. haha but I think that evil spirit's smell may be similar to some sort of bad smelling sulphur, I may be wrong :P
