This Is Our God

Thank you Tracy for your sharing. It indeed fills me with joy to see yet another cousin of mine walking so close with God and holding my hand and facing this trial with me. I couldn’t help crying when I read the lyrics of “This is our God” and cried buckets more when I went on youtube to hear the song. I have not heard this song before. But the reason I cried is because I’ve been wanting to write a poem for my church. Somehow I am so burdened that my affliction goes hand in hand with the crisis faced in my church. I’ve been told by Ps Lydia and Ps Joseph this is not the time to be burdened. Just pray and leave it to God. This is the time to look after myself first and please be wise! I still remember my earlier sms to my CCF friends. “Wait for miracle and believe. Pls pray for holy spirit to be poured not only on henry and myself but onto every member in our church as well”. Anyway, the poem I had in mind had words like “Fall on your knees, fall on your knees, fall on your knees” but ha ha..it never went further than that. But I would cry just saying those words over and over again. When Mrs Liew from church was praying for me over the phone and praying for healing, she ended with “and let our members set aside our differences to pray for this sister…” and I started to cry again. I said “Mrs Liew, you hit it on the nail. I have this burden to tell the church not to be so inward looking because there is so much work to do in God’s kingdom, there is no time for in fighting”. To which Mrs Liew replied “All the more reason you must set up an email for yourself”. That was the beginning of my blog that very weekend.

This Is Our God :

Your grace is enough
More than I need
And your word I will believe
I wait for you
Draw near again
And your spirit make me new
And I will fall at your feet
I will fall at your feet
And I will worship you here

Your presence in me
Jesus light the way
By the power of your word
I am restored
I am redeemed
By your spirit I am free
And I will fall at your feet
I will fall at your feet
And I will worship you here

Freely you gave it all for us
Surrendered your life upon that cross
Great is your love
Poured out for all
This is our God

Lifted on high from death to life
Forever our God is glorified
Sovereign king
Rescued the world
This is our God

And I will fall at your feet
I will fall at your feet
And I will worship you here

And I will fall at your feet
I will fall at your feet
And I will worship you here

Freely you gave it all for us
Surrendered your life upon that cross
Great is your love
Poured out for all
This is our God

Lifted on high from death to life
Forever out God is glorified
Sovereign king
Rescued the world
This is our God

Strangely, I too had read Isaiah 65: 17-25. I was quite intrigued by it and was reminded that that would be how it would be like when Christ returns. Thanks also for Isaiah 66:12-13

"I will extend peace to her like a river,
and the wealth of nations like a flooding stream; you will nurse and be carried on her arm and dandled on her knees. As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted over Jerusalem."

I claim it in Jesus’ name! Amen.

Thanks Tracy for you uplifting words. See you soon. Aunty Margaret and Uncle Len and family will be dropping by today. Yay! Praise the Lord!

I felt the Lord prompting my spirit that night to write to you and I am glad I did. How the Lord takes care of those he loves! love Tracy
